One Direction Album - The British Boy Band Invading the World
One Direction is an English and Irish pop boy group that is based in London. The band has five members that include Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson. They were first seen performing in a television signing contest "The X Factor" in 2010, but as individual performers and not as a boy group. One of the judges, Simon Cowell, thought that they would excel as a group, thus he eventually formed them as One Direction. After finishing at the third spot in the competition, Syco Records, Cowell's record label signed them as their official artist and thus the start of the making of One Direction Albums.
One Direction Album - Up All Night
They released their first album, "Up All Night"in September 2011 and with their debut song "What Makes You Beautiful" topping the British Singles Charts immediately, after turning to be the most in demand Sony Music Entertainment single in history of the music industry. Alongside their debut single, their following songs such as "One Thing" and "Gotta Be You" also reached the top ten of the British Singles Chart. After a month, they got to sign with Columbia Records for a record deal in North America. In the early 2012, their debut studio album was released to the world and achieved success as the fastest selling album in the UK in the year 2011 and crowned the top charts in over sixteen countries. In August of 2012, the album sold about a total of 3 million copies around the world.
One Direction Album - Take Me Home
After the amazing success of their debut album, in November 2012, they released their follow-up studio album titled, "Take Me Home". "Live While We're Young" was the lead single and it was released in September 2012 and like their first singles in their first album, the song also reached the top ten in about every single country it charted. The album along with its second song "Little Things" debuting at the same time at the number one spot in UK, the boy band became the youngest artist in the chart history of the UK to accomplish this achievement.
To add to that, the Take Me Home album sold about 540,000 copies in America only in its very first week, appeared atop the Billboard 200, making them the very first British boy band to have two of their albums to reach the peak of the music charts to a greater extent of 34 countries all over the world.
With Up All Night bagging the third spot as the best selling album, along with their second one, Take Me Home as the fifth place of 2012 in the US, the boy group became the very first act to have both of their albums to be included in the year-end top five in the Nielsen SoundScan era.

Other achievements that they garnered consists of a BRIT Award as well as 3 MTV Video Music Awards. According to the chief executive and chairman of Sony Music Entertainment UK, One Direction symbolized a $50 million business imperium by June 2012. To add to that, they were also proclaimed as Top New Artists of 2012 by Billboard while on the other hand, The Huffington Post declared 2012 as One Direction's Year.
